Together with our cargo storage and materials handling operations we cover the entire country. This allows NFA/ISO to lead the market in providing purpose designed solutions for our customers handling logs, timber, containers, bulk, fruit, project work and general cargo.
We are looking for individuals seeking to join our team of Stevedores at PrimePort in Timaru. Duties for this role are varied and can include loading and discharging logs, kiwifruit and bulk cargoes, and working shipboard. In addition Stevedores perform a number of wharf duties and many of these involve being trained to operate machinery, including excavators, loaders and forklifts.
The successful applicant will be provided a training programme which will provide them a pathway into operating plant and equipment. No prior experience is necessary as we love to train people with potential but if you do have operating experience this would help you fast track into skilled roles.
The successful candidate will need to be prepared to work an irregular shift pattern in a 24/7 roster.
