We are looking for individuals seeking to join our team of stevedores based on the Timaru waterfront.  Duties for this role are varied and can include loading and discharging logs and bulk cargoes, and working shipboard. In addition, stevedores perform a number of wharf duties and many of these involve being trained to operate machinery, including excavators, loaders and forklifts.  If you have had machinery operating experience (specifically Crane, or grapple), you will be remunerated accordingly to your skill.

The successful applicants will be provided a training program, which will provide them a pathway into operating plant and equipment. No prior experience is necessary to start out, as we love to train people with potential but if you do have operating experience this would help you fast track into skilled roles. 

The successful candidate will need to be prepared to work an irregular shift pattern in a 24/7 roster.
